Trellis is about hope and resiliency  Hope and resiliency move us from today's challenges and setbacks to tomorrow's opportunities and solutions.   At Trellis, our staff and volunteers strive to make a difference in the lives of our clients, their families and the communities in which they live.   We work hard to focus on those things that matter to our clients and to provide the best help possible.

We continually improve by:  

• Acting on the feedback we receive from our  Client and Family Advisory Council which meets monthly and is comprised of people who use our services
• Measuring the results of what we do and making needed improvements   
• Working  with Accreditation Canada to compare ourselves to national standards of excellence.
• Participating in  research 
• Investing in training for our staff and for other workers in the community to keep their skills and knowledge up-to-date. 
• Asking for regular feedback from  our clients and service partners about what we need to change and improve

In Spring 2007, Trellis' Board of Directors supported Trellis' application to become a member of the National Quality Institute.  The National Quality Institute is a not-for-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors whose objective is to assist organizations in advancing their journey to excellence.

A result of this relationship - Trellis has identified 5 areas for organizational performance:
