Mental health can change, for any adultIt is normal to feel down or sad at times, but long periods of being very sad and withdrawn may be a sign of mental illness. Like physical health, mental health is something that can change or it can make it very difficult to lead a normal life. People facing a mental health challenge may feel down about their life, not bounce back from setbacks, or manage stress very well.
Developmental disabilities affect how people liveDevelopmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Autism, and Aspergers Disorder are lifelong conditions. They may affect an adults movement or speech or their ability to live independently. Caregivers need lots of support to help people with developmental disabilities lead happy full lives. Trellis provides a range of services to help with behavioural issues and to support the family.
