Trellis Mental Health and Developmental Services is an agency which accepts a variety of students for placement opportunities throughout the year.
These placements are a formalized learning experience arranged in partnership with Trellis and various educational facilities throughout South Western Ontario and beyond. Trellis has mentored students from a variety of programs including: Bachelor of Social Work, Masters of Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Child Studies, and Child and Youth Worker programs to name a few. Students are placed in appropriate service areas related to their level of training and previous work experience.
Students at Trellis are supervised by staff persons who have qualifications in the same or similar areas of training as the student. The number of student placements accepted at any time is dependent on such factors as the availability of office space and the availability of appropriate supervisors.
Student placements can provide valuable "hands-on" experience and can help put the theoretical learning into practice.
If your current educational program requires a formalized placement or practicum experience you may contact our Human Resources Department at 519.821.8089 x581 to discuss placement opportunities.
Trellis is proud to share its expertise in the areas of mental health and developmental services to the graduates of tomorrow.
